OnePlus Ace 3V: First Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 phone is here

The OnePlus Ace 3V is the first smartphone with the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. It will probably come to us later as the OnePlus Nord 4.
OnePlus Ace 3V

The OnePlus Ace 3V is official and the first smartphone with the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. The chip uses the new Cortex-X4 CPU core like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It is a generation newer than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that the original OnePlus Ace 3 uses. As far as the GPU is concerned, the Plus chip should be closer to the 8 Gen 2 than the normal 7 Gen 3.

The OnePlus Ace 3V also got a new design. The large round bump on the back is gone, replaced by a more discreet camera island with two cameras and a round flash. The display is a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,240 x 2,772 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It displays 10-bit colors with 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The peak brightness is 2,150 nits with DC dimming at higher levels and high frequency PWM (2,160Hz) at lower levels. However, it is not an LTPO panel like the normal Ace 3.

The display of the OnePlus Ace 3V includes a 16 megapixel selfie camera with an 82 degree lens (f/2.4) and 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. A Sony IMX882 chip is used for the cameras on the back. This is a 1/2 inch sensor in contrast to the IMX890 (1/1.56 inch) of the normal Ace 3, but it still has OIS. There is also an 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera on the back with a 112-degree angle of view. When it comes to videos, the main camera can record 4K at 60fps with EIS and OIS.

In addition to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, there are also 12 or 16 GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and 256 or 512 GB of storage (UFS 4.0) on board. The chipset is kept cool by a large 9,140 mm² vapor chamber. The Ace 3V runs Android 14 as well as Oxygen 14 or ColorOS 14. The battery has a capacity of 5,500 mAh and supports 100 watt SuperVOOC S charging with a special power management chip. According to the official figures, a charge from 1 to 100% only takes 26 minutes. Unlike the normal model, the 3V is dustproof and waterproof according to the IP65 standard. OnePlus also states that the touch panel can still recognize fingers even when the display is wet. And the typical OnePlus alarm slider for notifications is also on board.
