The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is here with up to 24GB of RAM, 150W fast charging and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Thanks to a new vapor chamber developed by OnePlus itself, the new smartphone is the first in the world with a heat sink of almost 10,000 mm² in size. Another highlight is the 6.74-inch, 10-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,240 pixels. The panel supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz and achieves a brightness of up to 1,600 nits. It also covers 100% of both the DCI-P3 color space and the sRGB color space.
The Qualcomm chipset isn’t new to the OnePlus family, but it’s an improvement over the regular Ace 2. It’s paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The vapor chamber of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro now features dual-circulation heat dissipation, increasing the total area to 9,140mm². This includes multiple layers of graphite and thermogel, both superconducting materials that allow for faster heat dissipation.
The OnePlus phone isn’t explicitly advertised as a gaming phone, but it’s pretty good for mobile gaming. In addition to some software improvements in WLAN stability, at least 100 games already support a refresh rate of 120 Hz. However, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro does not set any records when it comes to the cameras. It has a 50-megapixel main camera with PDAF and OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the back. On the front, a 16-megapixel Samsung camera with an aperture of f/2.4 snaps selfies.
When it comes to charging, however, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is one of the currently fastest models with an input of 150 watts. With the included SuperVOOC charger, a full charge takes just 17 minutes. You can also use any PD charger, but the charging power only reaches a maximum of 45 watts. In addition, there is a SuperVOOC S power management chip that monitors the display, charging speed and temperature of the OnePlus phone and guarantees “long-term charging protection”. The operating system is Color OS 3.1 based on Android 13.
