The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is set to launch on August 16th, Li Jie, president of OnePlus China, revealed on Weibo today. In a long post on the social network, Li shared that the new flagship will be a significant upgrade compared to the Ace 2. Thanks to more cutting-edge technology, OnePlus wants to advance into the segment of flagship cell phones.


The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that features a new Vapor Chamber architecture. OnePlus has increased the total area of heat-dissipating materials to 9,140 mm². And in addition to the leak of an advertising image on the right, the first official teaser also appeared today. He confirms that the design will change little compared to the normal Ace 2. However, he also confirms that the new turquoise color version will indeed be launched.
The advertising image also reveals that the OnePlus cell phone will charge with a fast 150 watts. The Ace Pro, known in Europe as the OnePlus 10T, charges just as quickly. Also, on August 9th, OnePlus will launch a new magnetic charger that will be compatible with the new model. The last Chinese flagship with wireless charging was the OnePlus 10 Pro, which was launched more than 18 months ago.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. So far, the setup is only known from dedicated gaming phones. We’ll know more in ten days at the latest.
