China Joy is an annual digital and entertainment fair held in Shanghai. This year, Liu Fengshuo, president of the OnePlus product line, spoke to the audience about the brand’s plans for the near future. Among other things, Liu announced that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will launch next month with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. He also said that the new smartphone will feature “groundbreaking, first in the industry” cooling technology.

The new cooling solution sticks to a stacked design but uses new materials inspired by aerospace rockets, OnePlus employees revealed. According to initial data, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will run up to 14.4 degrees Celsius cooler. However, OnePlus did not reveal which comparison value it refers to. The total area of the cooling materials will be 9,140mm², which is an extremely high value. For comparison: The Lenovo Legion Y70 had the largest surface of any smartphone to date with just over 5,000 mm².
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro has also appeared at the Chinese 3C certification. It came to light that it supports charging speeds of up to 150 watts. The OnePlus smartphone carried the same PJA110 identifier as in previous certifications. It comes with the power adapter, model number VCBEJACH, which supports charging speeds up to 150 watts (11V/13.7A).
OnePlus launched the predecessor Ace Pro in 2022 for the Chinese audience. The same device later went on sale internationally as the OnePlus 10T. Something similar should happen with the Ace 2 Pro after the launch in China. So with every leak we learn more about the upcoming OnePlus 11T, which is said to have up to 24 GB RAM and 1 TB of storage and has just appeared on Geekbench.
