Most recently, it was the turn of the OnePlus 9R and 10R, and now three other devices are getting the OxygenOS 13 update based on Android 13. The OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T have been on the market since 2020. OnePlus has not yet officially announced the launch of OxygenOS 13 with Android 13 for these phones. Nevertheless, several users report that they have already received the stable update without participating in the open beta.

The rollout should therefore already be in full swing. The OnePlus 8 gets firmware version IN2011_11_F.13 in India and IN2015_11_F.13 worldwide. The 8 Pro update is version number IN2021_11_F.13 in India and IN2025_11_F.13 in the rest of the world and the 8T update is called KB2001_11_F.13 in India and KB2005_11_F.13 worldwide.

The update brings all the goodies that Google packed into Android 13 and OnePlus added some additional extras. These include the all-new Aquamorphic theme for the entire UI, new fonts, and “natural and vibrant” animations that make the UI look more natural and intuitive through “real physical movements.” The Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 is also on board and “recognizes complex gestures and offers optimized interactions”.

There’s also a new breed of always-on display that shows live information on music, taxi and delivery apps. Media playback controls in quick settings, a streamlined shelf, cast content that automatically adjusts to the target screen, a more seamless headphone connection, automatic pixelation of chat screenshots, and regular clipboard clearing are also part of the build. Thanks to the Dynamic Computing Engine, the system runs faster and more stable. OnePlus also promises better battery life.

The Kid Space has also been added, complete with eye comfort mode. And the new HyperBoost GPA 4.0 should “stabilize frame rate and balance performance and power consumption in key scenarios” when gaming.

As usual, such rollouts are staggered. Therefore, it may take at least a few days for the new software to reach all OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T devices.
