OnePlus 13, Oppo Find X8 and Realme GT 6 Pro with 6,000 mAh batteries

The OnePlus 13, the Oppo Find X8 and the Realme GT 6 Pro all get 6,000 mAh batteries. They also share the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
OnePlus 13

According to a new rumor from China, OnePlus, Oppo and Realme will equip their next flagship smartphones with 6,000 mAh batteries. For a long time, 5,000 mAh was the standard, but recently this value has already increased to 5,400 or 5,500 mAh in some models. And it seems that this trend will continue this year, with the OnePlus 13, the Oppo Find X8 and the Realme GT 6 Pro.

OnePlus 13 with three 50 megapixel cameras

In addition to the 6,000 mAh battery, the OnePlus 13 is rumored to feature a new camera island design and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor in the display. A new Weibo leak from tipster Digital Chat Station also brought three 50 megapixel cameras into play.

The predecessor OnePlus 12 has a 50 megapixel main camera and a 48 megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, but a 64 megapixel 3x telephoto camera. In terms of resolution, the OnePlus 13 is therefore worse rather than better. But the sheer number of pixels is not everything. What counts above all is the sensor size and how much light the chip and the aperture can collect.

The new 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens will, however, again offer three times optical zoom and will be developed together with optics specialist Hasselblad. The OnePlus 13 will of course be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is due to be released in October. This means that the OnePlus 13 itself could be announced in November, a little earlier than its predecessor.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra with four 50 megapixel cameras

The Oppo Find X8, on the other hand, is due to be officially released in October. That would be directly after the Snapdragon Summit. Interestingly, there have already been rumors that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will require larger batteries as it will consume more power than its predecessor. This is apparently because the performance cores of its CPU are expected to reach 4.2 GHz. The camera system is also expected to be of a similarly high quality. As usual, it will culminate in the top model Oppo Find X8 Ultra.

This news also comes from popular tipster DCS. He claimed on Weibo that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, like the Find X7 Ultra, will have four 50-megapixel cameras. Two of them are high-quality periscope telephoto lenses. DCS did not mention which sensors Oppo will use. But he did say that the smartphone will do without the Sony IMX858. The latter Oppo used in the Find X7 Ultra’s 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 6x optical zoom. Nevertheless, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra should have better zoom capabilities than the vivo X100 Ultra with its 200 megapixel periscope telephoto.

Realme GT 6 with AI Night Vision Mode, Smart Loop and Smart Removal

And Realme is also preparing for its first 6,000 mAh phones with the GT 6 and GT 6 Pro. After all, the Chinese, like OnePlus and Oppo, belong to the same BBK group and can share the technology internally. The global Realme GT 6 is scheduled to launch on June 20th. A separate model with the same name will follow at some point in China with a high-end chipset – probably also a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Realme India has released a new teaser for the global GT 6, which is called Realme’s “First AI Phone”. The AI functions are intended to take the cameras’ photos to the next level. There’s a dedicated AI Night Sight mode that’s meant to preserve more details in low-light conditions.

Also on board is Realme’s AI Smart Removal tool. It lets you remove unwanted objects in your photos by circling them. Smart Loop offers app suggestions based on your current task. The aim is to save time and extra steps between launching other apps.
