The OnePlus 12 is probably just around the corner considering the numerous leaks and official teasers lately. At least in the Chinese market, where the latest teasers appeared directly on OnePlus’ Weibo account. They primarily advertise the cell phone’s camera performance and the excellent display.

As we previously reported, a brand new Sony LYT-808 sensor will debut on the OnePlus 12. According to the teaser, the sensor was developed jointly by Sony und OnePlus. The main camera is considered the best in its class. There is also a telephoto lens with a large 64 megapixel 1/2.0-inch sensor. The lens itself is manufactured using a new, state-of-the-art process, which should further improve performance. And since OnePlus markets it as a periscope telephoto lens, the zoom range should surpass the standard 3x camera.
The cameras of the OnePlus 12 are of course once again developed together with Hasselblad. The image processing also benefits from the HDR and portrait algorithms from sister company Oppo. Oppo is also contributing its P1 display chip for the 2K ProXDR display. It is based on LTPO OLED technology and has a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits. The new panel has already received an A+ certification from DisplayMate for exceptional brightness and color accuracy.
There is still no official release date. But given the new teasers, it should be happening soon.
