OnePlus has finally announced the launch date for its next flagship phone: the OnePlus 11 will be unveiled on February 7th. Dubbed Cloud 11, the event takes place in New Delhi, India, and will also be the setting for the launch of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. The information comes directly from OnePlus.

The accompanying teaser image matches the renders leaked so far, showing a redesigned camera module. Regardless of this, company spokesman Spenser Blank confirmed that OnePlus again developed the camera system of the OnePlus 11 together with optics specialist Hasselblad. And that the popular alarm slider will return with the OnePlus 11 – both features were missing from the last flagship OnePlus 10T.

Unfortunately, specific technical data for the OnePlus 11 are still scarce. The slogan for the event is “Witness the Shape of Power”, which probably has something to do with the extremely fast charging capabilities of the Chinese. Previous leaks indicate that the phone will charge with up to 100 watts. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset should take over the drive. The 6.7-inch display should work with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

None of these specifications are particularly surprising, but final confirmation will not be available until early February. It shouldn’t be a coincidence that the kick-off event for the OnePlus 11 is taking place in India. OnePlus obviously hopes to benefit from its 2022 market successes in the mid-range segment. There’s still plenty of room for growth – according to Counterpoint Research, OnePlus was third in India’s premium segment, behind Apple and Samsung.
