Earlier this month, OnePlus announced that it would release Android 14 for the OnePlus 11 on September 25th. That didn’t sound credible at first, since Google itself hasn’t released the stable version of Android 14 yet. According to rumors it will happen on October 4th. The Google Pixel 8 series with the latest operating system is scheduled to launch on this date. However, OnePlus 11 owners in India and North America won’t have to wait that long to get Android 14. Because OnePlus has just announced OxygenOS 14 Beta 1 based on Android 14 for these two markets.
If you are in India, you will need firmware version CPH2447_220.127.116.110(EX01) or CPH2447_18.104.22.1681(EX01) on your OnePlus 11 before you can apply for the beta program. North American devices need the firmware CPH2451_22.214.171.1240(EX01) as a basis. To install OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1, the OnePlus 11 must also have at least 4 GB of free memory and 30% battery capacity.
OnePlus offers a total of 5,000 slots for testers in the beta program and is already accepting applications. You can see the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 changelog at the top left.
Before applying for the open beta, you should be aware that beta software often still contains bugs that can impact the user experience. Therefore, it is best not to install beta software on your primary device. OnePlus has also shared some known issues with Open Beta 1, which can be seen in the second screenshot above. If you still want to install OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 on your OnePlus 11, you can find all the details about the installation process under the source link.
