OnePlus will launch a new concept device at MWC Barcelona next week. However, the first two teaser images of the OnePlus 11 Concept are already available today, showing a back with light strips and a larger camera module. The blue stripes cover the entire back of the OnePlus smartphone and also circle the camera island.
Also, OnePlus has issued an official note for its upcoming concept phone, describing the new lines as “blood vessels” running the length of the back of the smartphone.
“The images show the engineering breakthroughs of the OnePlus 11 Concept by highlighting the icy blue pipelines which run through the entire back of the phone, almost like OnePlus 11 Concept has its own series of blood vessels. OnePlus 11 Concept’s pipelines are housed inside a bold and futuristic unibody glass design inspired by the calm stillness and vast power of a glacial lake.”
It will be interesting to see how the OnePlus 11 Concept works. The light strips could function similarly to the Nothing Phone (1) or serve a different purpose, such as actively cooling the cell phone.
In addition to the images, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shared a teaser video for the OnePlus 11 Concept on Twitter. The short teaser shows the device in action for a brief moment. Lau says “an industry-first technology” will be on board. It remains to be seen what that means in concrete terms.
