Qualcomm executive confirms Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset for Nothing Phone (2)
Nothing chose the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona as the starting point for its Phone (2) teaser campaign. Instead, a new post by a Qualcomm manager on LinkedIn revealed the chipset of the Nothing Phone (2). Alex Katouzian, Qualcomm’s General Manager for Mobile, Compute and XR, published a post to congratulate Nothing on the upcoming launch of the Phone (2). He specifically mentioned the processor – a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

The original post has since been edited and changed to “Snapdragon 8 series”, just like the previous teasers. After the mid-range model Nothing Phone (1), Nothing’s second smartphone is to compete in the premium/flagship killer segment. In addition, CEO Carl Pei has already confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will also be coming to the US later this year.
Nothing Ear (2) headphones launch on March 22nd
In addition to the Nothing Phone (2), the Chinese are also planning to launch their next set of headphones. And as of today, the Nothing Ear (2) have an official launch date: March 22 at 4:00 p.m. CET. The teaser image shows a tiny portion of the Buds charging case being pushed by a stag beetle. The mascot for the Nothing Ear (1) was a ladybug, so you can apparently have “bigger” expectations of the new earphones.

An official picture of the Ear (2) is still missing, as is information about the features. Nothing’s website simply states that the Ear (2) have “better sound and better clarity”, presumably compared to the Ear (1).
When it comes to leaks about the Nothing Ear (2), various information about the overall picture is still missing. The earbuds are said to be getting a pretty similar design to their predecessors, with minor changes to the placement of the microphones. There should be dual connectivity, personalized noise cancellation and an advanced equalizer.
