Nothing has started the official launch of Android 13 for the Nothing Phone (1) after the update initially only reached a small group of users. The Nothing OS 1.5 update is 1.25 GB in size and offers numerous new features and optimizations. These include a new weather app, new media controls, more glyph options, and camera app improvements.

According to Nothing, the app loading speed has also increased significantly and there are smoother system animations as well as a 50% lower power consumption in standby mode. The accuracy of the fingerprint sensor has also been increased. Nothing OS 1.5 also brings an improved network quick settings panel and multi-language support for apps. Also, there is now an option to close active background apps directly from the notification center.
The clipboard got a new preview and the camera app got an integrated QR code scanner. The latter can also be started via the quick settings. If you haven’t received the Nothing OS 1.5 update yet, you can start the manual search directly in the system update menu within the settings.
