As promised at the beginning of the year, HMD Global is now manufacturing 5G smartphones in Europe, more specifically in Hungary. The first model to roll off the assembly line is the Nokia XR21 Limited Edition. HMD commissioned an initial batch of just 50 devices, of which only 30 went on sale. Each XR21 has its own unique serial number engraved. Nokia also supplies all models in the “Frosted Platinum” color with their own limited edition box.

The Nokia XR21 was announced back in May and features a rugged design with MIL-STD-810H and IP69K certifications. These are the highest protection classes against water and dust.

The Nokia XR 21 Limited Edition costs €699/£599 in Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Finland and the UK. The standard model will also launch in black for €649/£549.
