Nokia released the low-end X10 and X20 smartphones in mid-2022. Now both Nokia phones are being updated to the latest Android 13 with the November 2022 security patch. The rollout appears to be gradual, so not all markets will get the firmware update at the same time.

Nokia X10
The new firmware for the Nokia X10 has the version number V3.270 while that of the X20 is V3.360. The changelog isn’t very long, but it points to one of Android 13’s most notable improvements – support for themes.

For example, theme support brings the ability to change the system icons. In addition, there are notification permissions for each newly installed app, new multimedia controls in the notification dropdown and the so-called photo picker. The latter restricts an app’s access to certain photos only, without immediately sharing the entire gallery.
The update is 2.34 GB in size. Anyone who has already received it in their region is welcome to leave us a comment.
