Samsung Galaxy Enhance-X AI picture editor comes to S23 series
Samsung has finally released the Galaxy Enhance-X photo editing app for the Galaxy S23 series. The app has been running on the Galaxy S22 trio since last summer, but in the older version 1.0.35. However, the new version 1.0.55 is still in the beta phase and uses the more powerful GPU of the Galaxy S23 series.

The app is an “photo upscaled and magic editor” that can add HDR effects to images using AI. This makes the photos brighter, you can correct blur and sharpness and remove reflections or shadows. Lens distortions can also be corrected and a normal shot can be rotated to portrait format. There are also face retouching features. If that’s too much work for you, you can tap a magic button and the app will automatically correct the image.
The new app is available today for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series as an 85 MB download from the Galaxy Store. Next up are several Samsung phones from the Galaxy A series and the Galaxy S22 series. Below is a direct download link.
Samsung Galaxy S24 to get stacked battery
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be on the market in about ten months. Therefore, the development of the components should be nearing completion so that Samsung has enough time for testing and manufacturing. The next flagship will get new battery technology borrowed from electric cars, according to a new report from South Korea.

According to this, Samsung’s battery department SDI is currently working on transferring stacked batteries to smartphones. Rather than changing the chemistry of the battery, the approach focuses on the arrangement of the cells. The effect is still higher energy density, allowing more capacity to fit into the same volume.
According to the report, Samsung promises a 10% higher energy density. That doesn’t necessarily mean the Galaxy S24 Ultra gets a 5,500mAh battery compared to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 5,000mAh. Samsung could also pack the same capacity into a smaller battery, freeing up space for other components, or build a more compact S24 Ultra. Previously we saw rumors that the Galaxy S24 could be launched with a new camera setup and a significantly more powerful GPU.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 keep charging with 25 watts
It seems that Samsung will once again only charge its upcoming foldables with 25 watts. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 appeared in a 3C certification with Samsung’s well-known EP-TA800 charger. The Galaxy Z Fold5 (SM-F9460) and Z Flip5 (SM-F7310) will both have the same charging speeds as their predecessors, the Z Fold4 and Z Flip4. This has the further advantage for Samsung that the Koreans don’t have to pack a special charger in the sales box.

Samsung’s next generation of foldable devices is expected to launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset. Both the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 are said to feature a new droplet hinge design meant to hide the infamous screen crease seen on previous Samsung foldables. The Galaxy Z Flip5 will also come with a larger cover display of at least 3.3 inches.
