Xiaomi Redmi Note 12R Pro arrives on April 29th

Xiaomi’s offshoot Redmi has announced a new member of the Redmi Note 12 series for tomorrow, April 29th – the Redmi Note 12R Pro. The teaser images show the back of the Redmi phone in three colors with a rectangular camera module. Two cameras and an LED flash can be seen, including a 48 megapixel main camera. Camera two could shoot macros or measure depth data.

The right frame of the Redmi Note 12R Pro features a volume rocker and the power button, the latter probably also acting as a fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, an OLED display from Samsung is on board, so an in-display fingerprint scanner is also possible. That would be a first in the Redmi Note 12 series though.

The Redmi Note 12R Pro features 5G connectivity, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Other storage options are likely but have yet to be confirmed. The sales start is on April 29 at 10 a.m. local time in China.
