New Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 images, Z Fold6 Slim for China

In addition to new live images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, there are also new rumors about a Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6

Dummy devices of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 posed for an extensive photoshoot today. You can see the two foldables from pretty much all angles. This is nothing completely new. But for one thing, there are a few new angles and for another, the images are of pretty high quality.

However, these could also be Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 prototypes. The source of these images uses “dummy devices” and “prototypes” more or less interchangeably. But dummies are usually just empty, but pretty accurate, shells. Prototypes already have the planned hardware on board, but are subject to changes and improvements over the course of the development cycle.

If these are dummy devices, that means the design should match what we see in the final products. If they are prototypes, it would have been helpful to know at what stage of the development cycle they were made – the later they come, the more similar they should be to the final products.

Anyway, the designs shown here are nothing surprising for Samsung foldable devices. The Korean company definitely doesn’t seem to be planning any major changes to the two series. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 on July 10 in Paris at the next Unpacked event. The Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Buds3 are also expected to be on stage.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim on the way?

Apparently, there is another model coming to the market – the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6. According to well-known tipster IceUniverse, the Slim will make its way a little later, in October this year. Rumors have previously suggested that this device was called the Z Fold6 Ultra. The new leaks also suggest that the Z Fold6 Slim will travel to China as the Samsung W25.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim is not to be confused with the rumored Z Fold6 FE, which is supposed to be the affordable entry into Samsung’s book-style foldables. Accordingly, the slim version will be both lighter and thinner than the normal Z Fold6. At the same time, it will have a larger display than the current 7.6-inch diagonal of the last four Fold generations.

It will be powered by the upcoming Samsung Exynos 2500 chipset. However, due to the removed digitization layer on the main display, S Pen support will be omitted, which would not really suit a top model in the series. The last step, however, is said to be the most important prerequisite for achieving an extremely flat height. A similar report about a slim model appeared back in May. At the time, it was said that the launch would coincide with the premiere of the Galaxy S25 series in early 2025.
