The upcoming OnePlus 12 has appeared in the rumor mill today in some CAD renders. On display is the first OnePlus smartphone with a periscope zoom camera, confirming previous rumours. The design of the camera module is very similar to that of the OnePlus 11, only with some changes made necessary by the periscope lens.

The OnePlus 12’s main and ultra-wide sensors sit in the top “row” of the camera module, while the periscope sits all by itself underneath. In between, as is usual with OnePlus flagships, is the logo of the Swedish optics specialist Hasselblad. The display is slightly curved and the punch hole for the selfie camera is in the middle. That would be a first for OnePlus, who normally place the cutout on the left side. The OLED display should also be 6.7 inches, offer a QHD+ resolution and refresh at 120 Hz.

The OnePlus 12 will most likely be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The processor will reportedly make its debut in October and will access a 5,000mAh battery, according to the latest reports. The quick charging support via cable is 100 or 150 watts.
Rumor has it that both the main and ultrawide cameras will have a resolution of 50 megapixels. In addition, the periscope zoom camera should have a resolution of 64 megapixels on an OmniVision sensor and the selfie camera should resolve 32 megapixels.
