Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Just two days ago there was a big leak about the cameras, chipsets and batteries of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Today we continued straight on with the next tipster on the topic of camera upgrades. Sperandio4Tech also assumes that the normal Galaxy S25 and the S25+ will more or less come away empty-handed. With the camera system of the Ultra flagship, however, Samsung is taking it to the next level.

According to this rumor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a new version of Samsung’s 1/2.76 inch ISOCELL JN1 sensor. The chip will supposedly be slightly smaller than the one in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and have a resolution of 50 megapixels.

Next up is the 3x telephoto camera, which will supposedly be equipped with a new 1/3 inch Samsung ISOCELL sensor. The chip is said to be slightly larger than the S24 Ultra. Just like the ultra-wide-angle camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the resolution here is also said to be 50 megapixels. In addition, Samsung is apparently preparing new algorithms that are also intended to improve the quality of photos and videos. However, further details are still missing, “as it’s really too early” says the source.

The main sensor will be the same size as its predecessor and could actually be the same sensor. This could mean a 200 megapixel chip with a sensor size of 1/1.3 inches and 0.6 µm pixels. Samsung combines the whole thing with multi-directional PDAF, laser autofocus and OIS. However, there are likely to be various leaks before the Galaxy S25 series is launched. The new Samsung smartphones will not be on the market until January 2025 at the earliest.
