According to a new report from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, we can expect updates to three iPad series in the spring of next year. Accordingly, Apple plans to launch a new iPad as well as a new iPad mini and an updated iPad Air in March 2024.

In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman explained that the new Apple Pencil with USB-C is coming before an iPad refresh in spring. He added that Apple has been working on the 11th generation iPad, the seventh generation iPad mini and the sixth generation iPad Air for some time. There are already several leaks about the latter model. According to this, Apple is planning, among other things, to bring a significantly larger Air 12.9 onto the market for the first time.
Apple apparently plans to release new iPads in March, which should include “at least” these three updated devices. The next-generation iPad Pro is also a possibility. Currently, only the smaller iPads seem to be a safe bet when it comes to updates in spring.
Gurman added that he expects the first-generation Apple Pencil to be discontinued along with the ninth-generation iPad. Because at this point there will no longer be any new Apple iPads with Lightning ports. However, he does not expect this change to occur “anytime soon”.
