The Motorola Razr+ will come with a 3.5-inch cover display, as Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo China, revealed today. The outside panel will stretch from one corner to the other, according to the teaser posted on Weibo. At 3.5-inches, the external display grows by 30% compared to the Razr 2022 while the total surface remains the same.
The image of the Motorola Razr+ matches previous leaks about the cover display. Motorola also accommodates the two main cameras and the LED flash in the panel, similar to non-foldable screens. Such a display would significantly improve usability when folded. You might even be able to use it to reply to messages without even having to open the Motorola smartphone.
The Motorola Razr+ is said to be the premium version of Motorola’s upcoming line of two clamshell phones. There’s also a base option that will be called either the Razr 2023 or the Razr Lite 2023. The Lite version supposedly only gets a very small external display right next to the cameras. Motorola wants to keep the price as low as possible and also be able to offer a cheap option. The new teaser suggests that the official announcement is just around the corner. So far there is no official date, though.
