Motorola has just updated its smartphone portfolio with the Moto G Power 5G (2024) and the Moto G (2024). In addition, the teaser campaigns are already running for the upcoming Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion, which Motorola could present on April 3rd. Meanwhile, a Moto G series device appears to be making its way onto the market, probably without causing much fanfare. The Motorola Moto G64 5G gets closer to the start.

On the way to the premiere, the Motorola Moto G64 5G has now overcome another hurdle. It has been spotted on Google Play Console with some key specs. Apparently a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset takes over the drive. The chip offers 5G connections, a 6nm platform and is from 2023. Essentially, it is a redesigned Dimensity 930. It has two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, and six additional Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 2.0 GHz. There is also an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. The Google Play Console lists two variants of the Moto G64y – one with 8GB of RAM and one with 12GB.

The Google Play Console does not reveal the display size of the Motorola Moto G64 5G. But it has a FullHD+ resolution with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a pixel density of 400 ppi. In the picture you can also see a selfie camera in a central punch hole. A few days ago, a Motorola phone called the Moto G64y 5G with exactly the same specifications was discovered in the Google Play Console. The device is no longer listed, but the entry may have just been edited to reflect the new name. The question is how the new model differs from last year’s Moto G54.
