Motorola Edge 40 Neo certified with 5,000 mAh battery

According to a recent leak, Motorola is working on an Edge 40 Neo in three Pantone colors. Today we learned that the smartphone has been certified by the FCC. As usual, the battery capacity and charging speed of the midranger came to light. The battery called QM50 will therefore have a capacity of 5,000 mAh and charge with a fast 68 watts. The charging speed reveals the charger, which has the model code MC-681N and is listed as compatible in the certification. The Motorola phone will also have 5G and NFC.

The fast charging rate is nothing new – it was already 68 watts in the previous Motorola Edge 30 Neo. The battery capacity, on the other hand, has increased by 25% compared to the Motorola Edge 40 Neo. Apart from that, the Edge 30 Neo is one of the lighter mid-range smartphones with a weight of only 155 grams. It remains to be seen whether things will change with the successor.

According to the specs leaked so far, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo will be based on a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 1080p. A MediaTek Dimensity 1050 should take over the chipset part, which can access up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The price in Europe will be €399, which is around $430.
