Motorola introduced the Edge+ (2023) in the US in May. Today the Motorola Edge (2023) joins in, which first appeared on the Internet over a month ago. It is powered by a Dimensity 7030 chipset and comes in a single configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The smartphone starts with Android 13, but there is no information on how many years of software support is included.

The Motorola Edge (2023) is based on a 6.6-inch pOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The panel supports both 10-bit colors and HDR10+ content. The touch sampling rate is 360 Hz and the peak brightness is 1,200 nits. In addition to an under-display fingerprint sensor, there is also a punchhole for the 32 megapixel selfie camera.

The frame is made of sandblasted aluminum, while Motorola has chosen soft, vegan leather for the back. In addition to a flash, there are two main cameras – a 50-megapixel wide cam with OIS and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view. With the ultrawide you can also take macro images using the Macro Vision function.
The Motorola Edge (2023) has a 4,400 mAh battery with 68 watts of wired and 15 watts of wireless charging. Other highlights of the Motorola smartphone include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning, NFC, IP68 protection against water and dust and a USB-C port.
The Motorola Edge (2023) only comes in Eclipse Black and costs $599.99 in the US. At launch there is a big discount on Motorola’s official US website, which brings the price down to $499.99. If you live in Canada, you can get the Motorola phone for CAD 849.99. The reduced price is currently CAD 699.99 via the Canadian Motorola website.
