The Chinese company Huawei is currently working hard on its new flagship phones of the Huawei P60 series. The smartphones have received several new certifications for the different models, revealing some more specifications of the range. This includes the LNA-AL00 and MNA-AL00 devices, which are listed as “TD-LTE digital cellular phone”. This means that the phones up to the top model Huawei P60 Pro will not support 5G. A new Huawei smartphone with the model number ALT-AL00 has also emerged. The exact model is not yet known, but it is also a 4G smartphone.

Huawei P60 / P60 Pro renderings
According to some supply chain leaks, Huawei will launch two flagships this year. One of the flagships is the Huawei P60 series, the other is the Huawei Mate 60 series. The former is expected to be released in March this year, with the latter coming in September 2023. Reports so far suggest that the P60 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Huawei P60 series gets new camera sensor
In addition, the well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has just commented on the camera setup of the Huawei P60 series. Accordingly, there will be two main cameras on the back. One of the cameras uses a Sony IMX789 sensor and the other uses an IMX888 chip. The series would thus provide the first cell phones with the IMX888 camera sensor. Both sensors resolve 50 megapixels with a bright 1/1.4 aperture, which is also said to be a variable aperture.
The IMX789 sensor is already known from the OnePlus 9 Pro and has a resolution of 52 megapixels (48 MP resulting images) on a footprint of 1/1.35 inch. Huawei will also cut the resolution of the sensor. A suspected mobile phone case from the Huawei P60 series is also circulating on the Internet. The second rendering shows a camera setup based on this case. If the design is correct, we can look forward to a very unique three-camera layout.
