Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024 and MateBook D16 2024 unveiled

Huawei introduced a new tablet with HarmonyOS and a Windows notebook in China today. The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024 features an updated Kirin 9000s chipset, while the MateBook D16 2024 can be configured with up to a 13th generation Intel Core i9 processor.

The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024 features an 11-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a peak brightness of 600 nits. In addition to an aluminum housing that is only 5.9 mm thick, Huawei also installs six speakers. Huawei’s new Kirin 9000s chipset with a 1+3+4 CPU configuration is also available for the first time. The performance core clocks at 2.49 GHz and is accompanied by three 2.15 GHz cores and four efficiency cores at 1.53 GHz.

According to the Geekbench test, synthetic performance is on par with the regular Kirin 9000 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865. The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024 also has 12GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. It’s also the first MatePad to support two-way Beidou satellite messaging.

On the back of the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 you will find a 13 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel ultra wide lens. On the front, a 16 megapixel camera takes selfies through a punchhole. The software side is covered by HarmonyOS 4, while the 8,300 mAh battery charges at 66 watts, which is quite fast for a tablet. Bluetooth 5.2 and support for the third generation Huawei M-Pencil are also on board.

The MatePad Pro 11 2024 is available in gray, blue, white and black. Prices start at CNY 4,199 (€540/$592) for the 12/256GB version, while the 12/512GB variant costs CNY 4,699 (€604/$663).

Huawei MateBook D16 2024

The Huawei MateBook Pro D16 2024 features a 16-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a peak brightness of up to 300 nits. A 1080p webcam is integrated into the top bezel and there is also a fingerprint sensor in the power button. The full-size keyboard has a number pad as well as a five-point touchpad. There are two speakers and two microphones next to it.

The smallest Huawei MateBook D16 2024 features a 13th generation Intel Core i5 processor and Intel UHD graphics. The high-end models can be configured with both i7 and i9 processors as well as Intel Iris Xe graphics. All models come with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD.

There is also a USB 3.2 Gen1 port (Type-A), a USB 2.0 port (Type-A), a USB 3.2 Gen1 port (Type-C) with support for DisplayPort 1.2, a single HDMI port and a headphone/microphone combo jack. Additionally, Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.1 are on board the Windows 11 Home Edition notebook. The 70 Wh battery charges at 65 watts via USB-C.

The Huawei MateBook D16 2024 is available in space gray and silver. The base model with an Intel Core i5 costs CNY 4,999 (€642/$705), the Core i7 version is CNY 5,999 (€771/$847) and the Core i9 model will set you back CNY 6,499 (€835/$917).
