Huawei launched the Watch GT4 series at a major event in Barcelona yesterday. But other new products came onto the scene, too. These include the Freebuds Pro 3 wireless earbuds, Eyewear 2 glasses and the new Huawei MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition tablet.

Huawei MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition

The Huawei MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition features a new, nano-etched display coating. It promises a paper-like feel with reduced glare, less eye strain and a more natural writing experience with the second generation M-Pencil pen.

The rest of the Huawei tablet’s specs are the same as the regular MatePad 11.5. This includes an 11.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition features a custom 4G Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. There is also a 13 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel front camera on board. The 7,700 mAh battery charges via USB-C at 22.5 watts and HarmonyOS 3.1 as the operating system.

The Huawei MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition is only available in Space Gray. It will retail from September 19th for €500/£400.

Huawei Freebuds Pro 3

As a direct successor to last year’s Freebuds Pro 2, the FreeBuds Pro 3 offer a dual-speaker system with the promise of clearer highs and richer bass. Huawei’s latest flagship wireless headphones also feature Triple Adaptive EQ for clear sound. There is also support for the Hi-Res audio codecs LDAC and L2HC 2.0.

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 also come with an updated Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0 system. It is intended to provide even better noise cancellation, while the new Pure Voice 2.0 microphone system should capture the voice clearly even in the most difficult conditions. The battery life including the charging case is 31 hours and you can also pair two devices.

The FreeBuds Pro 3 cost €200/£180 and will go on sale in all European markets from October 11th.

Huawei Eyewear 2

The latest addition to Huawei’s wearable department is the Huawei Eyewear 2 smart glasses. You can listen to music for up to 11 hours via the built-in speaker. Zeiss lenses are interchangeable. There’s also a titanium frame that weighs just 4.7 grams and touch controls on the sides.

The Huawei Eyewear 2 is priced at €300 and will be available from October 18th.
