After the Huawei Mate 60 and the Mate 60 Pro, the top model has finally arrived – the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+. Here too, the Chinese are not revealing any details about the chipset, but it is probably the in-house 7nm Kirin 9000s. Unlike 12GB of RAM on the Pro, the Pro+ has access to 16GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of storage. Additionally, the capacity can be expanded using Huawei’s proprietary NM card format, which still has a maximum capacity of 256 GB.

The 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display on the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ is slightly sharper than on the Pro with 1,260 x 2,720 pixels. The 10-bit panel delivers a refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz. You also get 1,440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Second-generation Kunlun glass protects the display, while the Huawei cell phone itself is IP68 certified. But the actual protection goes beyond IP68 – the smartphone can survive half an hour at a depth of up to 6 meters instead of just 1.5 meters.

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ also has the three holes in the display that are familiar from the Pro. One is for the 13 megapixel selfie camera, two more for the 3D ToF system. On the back there is a 48 megapixel main camera with OIS and a variable aperture of f/1.4-f/4.0. There is also the 48 megapixel periscope with a 90 mm f/3.0 lens and also OIS. Finally, the ultra-wide camera now has a 40-megapixel sensor versus 12-megapixel on the other two Mate 60s.
The battery system is unchanged at 5,000 mAh, 88 watt charging via USB-C and 50 watt wireless charging. There is also 20 watt reverse wireless charging and the USB-C port supports the USB 3.1 Gen 1 standard. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC and L2HC codecs. NFC and an IR transmitter are also on board. However, there is currently no information online about 4G or 5G.
Like the other Mates, the Mate 60 Pro+ also supports two-way text messaging via the BeiDou network. The Pro+ can also make voice calls via the Tiantong satellite. What type of contract or subscription you need for this is also still unknown.
