Honor Magic5 Lite unveiled, Magic5 Pro teased

In the run-up to Mobile World Congress, Honor today announced the Magic5 Lite. The phone is actually a rebranded Honor X9a.
Honor Magic5 Lite

Ahead of its big MWC event, Honor today announced the Magic5 Lite in France. It is actually a renamed Honor X9a for the European markets. The Honor smartphone is based on a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel also delivers 10-bit color, 1,920 Hz PWM dimming and has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

In addition, there is a large circular camera island on the back with a 64-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is also a 16 megapixel front camera for selfies. It is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset in combination with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The Honor Magic5 Lite launches Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 and packs a 5,100mAh battery with 40W fast charging.

The Honor Magic5 Lite is sold in the colors Midnight Black, Emerald Green and Titanium Silver. Pre-orders in France will start on February 20th at a price of €379 for the 6/128GB model.

Honor Magic5 Pro

The Honor Magic5 Pro has also officially come out of cover in a Guinness World Record attempt for the highest between-the-legs slam dunk. Honor was there with the upcoming flagship to document Poland’s Piotr Grabowski’s attempt with the Pro’s AI camera.

As you can see from the picture, the Magic5 Pro offers four zoom levels – 0.5x for the ultra-wide, 1x for the main camera, and 3.5x and 5x for the periscope zoom camera. The latter could be the Magic4 Pro’s 64-megapixel, 90mm telephoto lens.

Honor will unveil the Magic5 Pro at Mobile World Congress on February 27th.
