Besides the Magic5 flagship series, Honor introduced another smartphone for the international audience and with worldwide availability – the Honor Magic Vs. The foldable was first presented in China three months ago. This is the first horizontally foldable smartphone with an inward vertical hinge on the global stage that isn’t a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. This finally brings some movement and competition into the world of foldables.

The Honor Magic Vs offers a four-component hinge design, a bright display, and a fairly light body. Compared to the Honor Magic V, the weight has dropped by around 10% from 288 to 261 g. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, just like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 (review). The global audience gets the Magic UI 7.1 interface based on Android 13. In China, on the other hand, Android 12 is still running on the Honor smartphone.

Also, the main camera and zoom lens on the back have been revised compared to the first Magic V. The battery now has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, but continues to charge with 66 watts. Honor launches the Magic Vs in two colors – cyan and black. The price for the version with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage is €1,599/$1,697.
