Honor Magic Vs

Honor’s first foldable smartphone, the Magic V, was launched in January 2022. In the second half of the year there was a small design update with the Magic Vs, but a worthy successor is now overdue. Now there are the first rumors that the Honor Magic V2 will be presented on July 12th. And apparently there will be two variants – with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

In addition, a new main camera will be on board with a resolution of 108 megapixels. The 5,000 mAh battery supports 50 watt wireless charging, while the wired charging performance is still unknown. With the Honor Magic Vs it was 66 watts. Various technical data are also missing for the displays. The main display will reportedly be based on LTPO technology. It will support a high refresh rate (higher than 90 Hz) and high-frequency PWM dimming.

Honor X50

Tipster Digital Chat Station also released new details on the Honor X50, a successor to September’s X40. Accordingly, the X50 should start in China on July 5th with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. The processor works in the Honor phone with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. The AMOLED display grows from 6.67 to 6.78 inches and the resolution from 1080p to 1220p to keep the pixel density.

In addition, the Honor X50 should also have a 108 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor on the back. Upfront we get a dual selfie camera setup. The battery stores 5,800 mAh but only charges with 35 watts compared to the 5,100 mAh and 40 watts of the X40. DCS also mentioned that a MagicPad tablet will follow later this year. The Honor Magic6 series, on the other hand, will not be launched until the first quarter of 2024.
