Honor 90 Pro to keep 200 MP camera

The Honor 80 series came out in November 2022, but the development of the Honor 90 series should already be complete. However, according to the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Honor 90 Pro will be a rather small upgrade from its predecessor, the Honor 80 Pro. According to DCS, Honor will keep the display, the chipset and the main camera.

The tipster compared the Honor 90 Pro with the also unreleased Oppo Reno10 Pro+. According to his sources, the Reno10 Pro+ is better equipped. The Honor phone will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with a 3.0GHz main core. The display has a resolution of 1224p and two selfie cameras in a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout.

DCS also assumes that the Honor 90 Pro will stick with the predecessor’s Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor, which theoretically outputs 200 megapixel images. However, the Honor limited the 80 Pro to 160 megapixel photos for reasons only Honor knows. We’ll have to wait and see whether the company will use the full potential of the ISOCELL HP3 this time.
