A month ago, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the upcoming Honor 90 series will be a rather small upgrade over the 80 series. Now the first image has emerged showing the Honor 90 and 90 Pro with an evolution of the design. The Pro model, pictured on the right, keeps the rounded, hexagonal look of the cameras but separates them into two islands. Also, Honor splits the texture of the back in half.

Based on the previous report, the new model retains the 200 megapixel camera with the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and curved 1224p display also remain on board. The charging power, on the other hand, increases from 66 to 90 watts. In the Honor 80 and 80 Pro, however, the ISOCELL HP3 never reached full resolution because Honor limited it to 160 megapixels for some reason. According to DCS, that should change with the Honor 90 and 90 Pro. According to DCS, the new Honor smartphones will use the full 200 megapixels.
The standard Honor 90 also splits its cameras into two islands and has a speckled texture. It charges with a maximum of 66 watts. The leaked image also includes an announcement date. Accordingly, the Honor 90 duo will be launched on May 29, half a year after the 80 series.
