The Google Pixel Tablet comes with a charging and speaker dock, but no keyboard or stylus. Until now, they are not even available as an optional accessory. A new leak now suggests that Google is indeed working on releasing a first-party keyboard and stylus for its tablet.

A developer discovered references in a URL that leads to the latest version of the Pixel Retail demo app. The app allows sellers to lock demo devices in retail stores and showcase various features of the device. The URL was discovered in the “PixelSetupWizardOverlay” APK file, which points Google’s setup wizard in demo mode to the latest version of the Retail demo app.
The latest version of the Retail Demo app was released on May 21st and includes references to a “Keyboard for Pixel Tablet” and a “Pen for Pixel Tablet”. However, there are no pictures of the two accessories in the app yet. Further details such as prices or a release date are also missing. However, it’s pretty obvious that Google is working towards a release in the near future.
Support for USI 2.0 pens can also be found in the official specifications of the Google Pixel tablet. Additionally, Android 14 will introduce some new features for pens and keyboards. Nevertheless, these are only hints and rumors that should be treated with caution for the time being.
