Our latest look at the upcoming Google Pixel 8 series comes once again courtesy of well-known tipster Evan Blass. It’s a series of promotional images of the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2. Below is a specs comparison from Google’s product page for the Pixel series, which compares the two new phones to the Google Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7a.
The graphic confirms, among other things, the technical data of the cameras of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. This also means that the base model will finally have an ultra-wide camera with autofocus. In addition, despite the lack of a telephoto camera, it delivers up to eight times super resolution zoom, while the Pixel 8 Pro scales up to 30 times hybrid zoom thanks to its five times optical zoom.
The thermometer of the Google Pixel 8 Pro model is also listed. In addition, Google once again describes the functions of the Magic Eraser. This tool can remove distracting objects from photos or correct a blurry image. The Magic Eraser is already available on the current Pixel smartphones, but should run faster on the new generation. It will also soon be able to remove noise from audio data.
The other part of the leak is about the new Google Pixel Watch 2, which will be on stage alongside the 8 series. In addition to two images of the fitness functions, you can also see different watch faces in different designs. The Pixel Watch can also be seen with silicone straps in different colors and with a stainless steel strap.
