Both the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 cost €649 ($600 in the US) at launch. The Google Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro were also tied at €899 ($900). The Pixel 7a has already given the first indications of the price of the Google Pixel 8. Because Google has raised the prices by 50 US dollars compared to the Pixel 6a. Accordingly, a new leak does not bring good news about the prices of the upcoming Google cell phones.

As tipster Yogesh Brar reports, the Google Pixel 8 will cost $650 or $700, which is a $50-$100 price increase compared to the 2022 model. The price is for the same base configuration with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. That said, the Pixel 8 also brings some improvements, such as a brighter 120Hz display (albeit a bit smaller). Apparently, it will also have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor instead of an optical one.

Brar also confirmed the specs leaked so far. That includes a slightly larger 4,485mAh battery with 24W wired charging and 12W Qi wireless charging. In comparison, the Google Pixel 7 has a 4,355 mAh battery that charges up to 20 watts with and without a cable.

It is not yet known whether the Google Pixel 8 Pro will also be more expensive. The old Pro models were already $300 more than the base versions. According to the tip, we’ll know more by early October at the latest when the new Google phones launch, just like the Pixel 7 series did last year.
