The Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are set to debut on October 4th, but by now we know almost everything there is to know about Google’s top smartphones for 2023. Except for one small detail – what the new colors look like. A previous leak already revealed the color variants, but without providing the corresponding images.

The Google Pixel 8 will start in the colors Peony Rose, Gray and Obsidian. The latter is the only color already known from the Pixel 7. The Google Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be sold in obsidian, porcelain and sky blue colors. Here too, Obsidian is the only known color variant and was already available for the Pixel 7 Pro.

In addition to the new colors, the Pixel 8 duo features a more rounded design. It forgoes the sharp corners of last year’s Pixel 7 series. The design of the camera sensor on the 8 Pro is also new, with all cameras sitting behind one glass cutout instead of two.

Live images of the Google Pixel 8a have also appeared online, which is expected to hit the market sometime in 2024. A Geekbench test of the Google smartphone had previously come to light. And even though it’s still quite a long time until the Pixel 8a hits the market, the photos look pretty real.

The Google Pixel 8a is shown in blue with a similar design to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series. The protruding camera module remains, but the front has changed. The overall shape of the case is more rounded and the relatively sharp corners have gone. Unfortunately, the bezels around the display are significantly thicker at the same time.

The leak also specifies the Google Pixel 8a’s chipset, a Tensor G3. The chip has yet to be released, which will probably happen with the premiere of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. These models will also have the Tensor G3 under the hood.
