The first durability test and a teardown of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra came out yesterday and the next video with a durability test is already online today. This time from well-known YouTuber Zack from JerryRigEverything, who put the new Samsung smartphone through his usual scratch, fire and bend tests.

As usual, the durability test begins with the scratch test. The glass front and back of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra have to prove their resilience. Both sides are protected by the latest Gorilla Glass Victus 2, so expectations were high in advance. From level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale you can see the first marks in the glass. From level 7 deeper scratches remain. This is in contrast to yesterday’s test, in which the first marks only appeared from level 8 and deeper scratches from level 9.

As expected, the sides of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra are made of metal, as are the buttons. In the fire test, the display withstands the flame for about a minute. After that, permanent damage remains. Finally, there is the bend test, which the Ultra passes with flying colors. It doesn’t give way, no matter from which side and how hard Zack tries to bend the smartphone.
