Xiaomi’s affordable Poco offshoot is planning its first foray into the tablet segment. The Chinese’s first tablet is said to have the obvious name Xiaomi Poco Pad. The new model appeared today in both the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database and the Camera FV-5 database. Here are the details.

The upcoming Xiaomi Poco Pad has the model number 2405CPCFBG. The FCC listing shows that the tablet will launch with HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14. Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax connectivity is also on board, as is a 33 watt charger from Xiaomi. The latter has the model number MDY-12-EA.

Additionally, the listing shows that the Poco Pad is identical to another product. Namely with the Redmi Pad Pro, which Xiaomi certified a few days ago with the model number 2405CRPFDL. This confirms that the two Xiaomi tablets are actually one and the same product.

The camera FV-5 database also provides information about the tablet’s camera specifications. According to the listing, the Xiaomi Poco Pad will feature an 8-megapixel main camera on the back with an f/2.0 aperture and electronic image stabilization. The front camera also has a resolution of 8 megapixels, but with an f/2.3 aperture.

The Redmi Pad Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and supports up to 8GB of RAM. The 10,000 mAh battery charges with 33 watts. The 12.1-inch LCD display delivers a 120Hz refresh rate, 2.5K resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is also a quad speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio.
