The Chinese have already officially confirmed that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be launched later this month. Thanks to a new leak that is currently making the rounds on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, we are now also getting the first two live images. One of them only shows the sales box of the foldable, while the other gives us a first look at the cover display.
The cover display is slightly curved on the right side and features a central punch hole for the front selfie camera. According to previous reports, the Mix Fold 3 will be the first model that Xiaomi will produce in a new smart factory. The site has new manufacturing systems specifically designed for the upcoming foldable.
The packaging of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 also confirms that the cameras were once again developed together with Leica. The Mix Fold 2 has already benefited from the expertise of the optics specialists. Reports from last month indicate that Xiaomi is developing a quad camera setup with Leica. In addition to a wide and an ultra-wide, two telephoto cameras are also under discussion. So we might get another foldable with a real flagship setup, which is still quite rare.
According to a certification, the charging speed should be a fast 67 watts, just like the two predecessors. Unfortunately, previous Mix Fold phones were only available in China. And it seems that trend won’t change with the Mix Fold 3.
