Yesterday, vivo became the first company to officially launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smartphone, the X90 Pro+. However, vivo is just one of several brands that will launch 8 Gen 2 phones before the end of the year. This also includes the subsidiary iQOO, which will present the new iQOO 11 series on December 2nd.

The date was revealed by a new leak that also shows one of the iQOO 11 models alongside the date. The white case with the typical racing stripes is immediately recognizable as an iQOO smartphone. For this generation, iQOO will apparently stick with the rectangular camera module. The carbon decoration all around, on the other hand, does not seem to have made it into the final design. Here is the Legend Edition of the iQOO 10 Pro for comparison.

There have already been some leaks around the iQOO 11 series. The base model will reportedly have a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel (Samsung E6) with QHD+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. In addition to a 50 megapixel main camera, there is also a 13 megapixel ultrawide and an 8 megapixel macro camera on board. Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor does the math and the new vivo V2 ISP ensures good images in low light conditions.

The base model is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 120W, while the iQOO 11 Pro charges its 4,700mAh battery at up to 200W.
