HMD is taking a new multi-brand approach to its smartphones, but is sticking with the Nokia name for its feature phones. The Finnish manufacturer has just launched three new mobile phones, each a modern twist on a classic. Welcome Nokia 6310 (2024), Nokia 5310 (2024) and Nokia 230 (2024).

Nokia 6310 (2024)

The Nokia 6310 (2024) brings some new features in the 2024 version. It’s similar to the 6310 from 2021, but HMD has given it a larger 1,450 mAh battery and a USB-C port. The rest of the specifications remain the same – a VGA camera with flash on the back, a 2.8-inch LCD display on the front, a dual SIM slot with standby function for both cards and an additional slot for microSD cards .

Nokia 5310 (2024)

With the Nokia 5310 (2024), HMD has decided to keep the overall design of the 5310 (2020). The Nokia phone has actually become larger and wider, making room for the larger 1,450 mAh battery. The chipset is now the Unisoc 6531F, so no longer a MediaTek platform.

The LCD display grows to 2.8 inches, but the name 5310 is actually all about music, like the XpressMusic classic from 2007. The playback buttons are on the right side of the Nokia 5310, while the volume buttons are on the left side. HMD has also installed a USB-C port on the bottom, but everything inside remains the same. There’s 8/16MB of storage (a microSD card slot is available), two speakers and an FM radio.

Nokia 230 (2024)

The Nokia 230 received the same treatment as the other two models – a similar design but a new battery. The footprint is exactly the same as the 2015 model. And the 2.8-inch TFT display with 65,000 colors remains on board. It also features the same 2-megapixel camera with an LED flash combo on the front and back. The main differences are the 1,450 mAh battery and the USB-C port. Bluetooth 5.0 is made possible by the Unisoc 6531F chipset, while other features such as a 3.5mm audio jack and 8/16MB of memory remain unchanged.

HMD has not announced prices for the new models. By the way, all three feature phones are limited to 2G. This means they won’t work with 3G or newer networks.
