The Sony WH-1000XM5 true wireless headphones and WF-1000XM5 earphones once again face competition from Bose, one of the biggest and oldest names in noise-cancelling. Firstly, the upcoming Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are on the way, secondly, the new QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are also in the starting blocks. Today the first pictures and technical data have appeared on the Internet.

Both Bose headphones will be launched in black and white. The QuietComfort Ultra headphones feature physical buttons for music playback and volume control, and forego Sony’s touch gesture solution. There is also a USB-C port for charging.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds will be the successor to the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II and will feature soft ear tips. The design will be similar to its predecessor.

According to a recent report, the QuietComfort Ultra headphones will cost €499.95 in France and the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds will cost 349.95 euros. In addition, a base model of QuietComfort headphones is also on the way for €399.95. Color options include black, cloud white and cypress green. Bose will probably omit some of the premium features here.
The Sony WH-1000XM5 launched last year with an MSRP of €419, while the WF-1000XM5 earphones started at €319. So Bose’s products will be more expensive, which hopefully will be reflected in the sound quality. The official launch is expected next month.
