Xiaomi introduced the Black Shark 5 series in China last March. Accordingly, the Black Shark 6 series is slowly in the starting blocks. There’s still no word from Xiaomi itself on the upcoming gaming flagships, but as of today, thanks to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, there’s a good idea of what the new models have to offer.

According to DCS, the Black Shark 6 series is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets and features flat 2K displays with central punchholes for the selfie cameras. The main rear camera is based on a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor. There should also be an ultra wide and a tele/macro camera.
In addition, the Black Shark 6 series has two speakers and the “strongest active cooling” for long gaming sessions. The smartphones will have a metal frame with a ceramic structure and a 5,000 mAh battery that charges at a fast 120 watts.
It is still unclear how many smartphones the Black Shark 6 series will consist of. Last year there was a base model, plus Pro and RS versions in China. The regular model and the Pro are also expected to hit global markets a few months after the debut.
