Asus last launched a flagship phone in July 2022 – the Zenfone 9. So the development of the Asus Zenfone 10 should already be in full swing. Will the successor keep the small form factor of its predecessor? Will we again get a flagship chipset and will the prices change? We have collected the latest leaks and rumors about the Asus Zenfone 10.
When is the Asus Zenfone 10 coming?
Asus has been consistently launching flagship Android phones with premium Qualcomm 8 series processors every year since the release of the Zenfone 3 series in 2016. So there is no reason to believe that this will change in 2023 with the Zenfone 10. The last models arrived on the following dates:
- Asus Zenfone 6 – May 16, 2019
- Asus Zenfone 7 – August 26, 2020
- Asus Zenfone 8 – May 13, 2021
- Asus Zenfone 9 – July 28, 2022
As you can see, Asus hasn’t stuck to a fixed date for its Zenfone launches in the past. The last four models came between May and August. According to previous rumours, the Zenfone 10 will not appear until the fourth quarter of this year, so sometime between October and December.
Display and design
It doesn’t look like Asus is going to stick with the compact 5.9-inch size of the Zenfone 9 and Zenfone 8. Instead, the Zenfone 10 supposedly gets a display that’s even larger than the panel on the Samsung Galaxy S23. No less than 6.3 inches are said to be planned. In addition, the AMOLED display should offer a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Unfortunately, there are no leaked renders and images yet. However, it’s safe to assume that Asus will stick with some basic features like the IP68 rating and the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Technical data and features
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform should power the Asus Zenfone 10. Asus has always used the latest top chipsets from Qualcomm in its flagships, so that wouldn’t be a surprise. In addition, there should be up to 16 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. On the other hand, there was also an 8/128 GB version of the Zenfone 9. However, an increase to at least 256 GB would fit the Zenfone 10’s flagship claim.

Asus Zenfone 8 / Zenfone 9
Updates are also planned for the battery and charging speed. The Zenfone 10 is reportedly equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and 67 watts of fast charging, compared to the 4,300 mAh and 30 watts of the Zenfone 9. The main camera of the Zenfone 10 is said to have a resolution of 200 megapixels in contrast to the 50 megapixels of the predecessor. The ultrawide camera was previously 12 megapixels and could also get an upgrade. Asus may also install a telephoto camera for the first time – so far there was only a three to eightfold digital zoom in the Zenfone 9.
Finally, the leaked information suggests that the Zenfone 10 will still launch with Android 13. If the start date in Q4 is correct, Android 14 would already have been released by then. Also, previous Zenfones only got two major Android system upgrades and a meager two years of security patches. So if the phones start with Android 13, Android 15 would be the end of the update cycle.
How high will the prices for the Zenfone 10 be?
Nothing is known yet about the price of the Asus Zenfone 10. The Zenfone 9 cost $799 in the basic version and $899 with 16 GB of RAM. The prices will probably be at least at this level.
