Asus ROG Phone 7D passes Geekbench benchmark

It’s been over five months since the release of the Asus ROG Phone 6D series. So it’s about time for the first ROG Phone 7 rumors. Today, an Asus smartphone called Asus AI2205_D paid a visit to the benchmark platform Geekbench. The model is said to be the Asus ROG Phone 7D. The ROG Phone 7D has already been tested with the new version of Geekbench 6 and achieved 2,012 single-core points and a multi-core score of 5,697 points.

As usual, Geekbench only mentions the most important technical data. That includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, as well as 16GB of RAM, both of which aren’t much of a surprise. As expected, the gaming smartphone runs Android 13. According to a report from last month, Asus is working on three ROG Phone 7 variants. These include the base model, the ROG Phone 7D tested today, and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. The only thing missing is the Pro version.

All three ROG Phone 7 phones are expected to bring AMOLED displays with a 165Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors. The Ultimate model is said to have 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The ROG Phone 7 series is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2023, so sometime between July and September.
