The Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate is one of the best gaming phones money can buy right now. One of the main differences from the regular ROG Phone 7 is the Asus AeroActive Portal. This is a motorized ventilation flap that works together with the AeroActive Cooler. Zack from JerryRigEverything subjected the latest Asus cell phone to its usual durability test and shows in the test how resilient the individual components are.
First, Zack breaks the plastic window of the AeroActive cooler in order to be able to open the door of the portal. Below you can see the copper fins inside the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate for heat dissipation. Next comes the display scratch test. The Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, which is currently one of the toughest types of glass on the market. Nevertheless, scratches remain as early as level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, with deeper grooves from level 7. However, the in-display fingerprint sensor continues to work without problems even with the scratches.
Next comes the scratch test around the aluminum frame of the Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, which then has a completely different look. In the fire test, it took around 30 seconds for the display to permanently turn white with no prospect of recovery. The most important part of the video comes at the end – the bend test. Asus ROG Phones have had some issues with this in the past. And although the Ultimate bends visibly, neither the frame nor the display break through.
