Apple iPhone 16 series: Live images of all models

The Apple iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have larger displays and smaller bezels. Here are the live images of all models.
Apple iPhone 16 series

A few days ago, we found out that the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max will have the thinnest display bezels in the world, closely followed by the iPhone 16 Pro. Today, new leaks bring us the exact dimensions of the two Apple phones. The iPhone 16 Pro measures 149.6 x 71.45 x 8.25 mm and weighs 194 g. In comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro comes in at 146.6 x 70.6 x 8.25 mm and weighs 187 g.

The Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, comes in at 163.02 x 77.58 x 8.26 mm, compared to 159.9 x 76.7 x 8.25 mm for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The weight increases by 4 g at 225 g. The reason for the larger dimensions and higher weight is obvious. The iPhone 16 Pro gets a 6.3-inch display compared to 6.1 inches on its predecessor. The Pro Max also grows by 0.2 inches to 6.9 inches.

Next come the bezels. If you only count the black part on the edge and not the visible part of the metal frame, you get 1.71 mm for the iPhone 15 Pro and 1.55 mm for the Pro Max. The Apple iPhone 16 Pro with 1.2 mm and the Pro Max with 1.15 mm are expected to significantly undercut these values when they launch in September.

First live images of Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus

Actual hardware leaks regarding new iPhones are very rare. Often the tips come from second-hand sources or from related industries that are part of the supply chain. However, this year there could be some weak points in Apple’s security, as we have already seen a pretty credible dummy device of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the wild. This device was also larger, which today’s leak confirms. But there is also a new leak about the remaining Apple iPhone 16 models – the first live images are here.

The exciting thing here are of course the images of the Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Both still have two cameras on board, but their orientation has shifted to the vertical. The last time Apple returned to a vertical camera arrangement on the back was with the iPhone 12. In the new models, the orientation has a practical reason – recording 3D/spatial videos.

According to one of the latest leaks, production of the displays for the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro is expected to start as planned in June. This suggests that the new iPhones will stay true to tradition and be released in September.
