Tipster Ice Universe just shared Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max news. Accordingly, something will change about the bezels of Apple’s next top model. Supposedly, the Pro Max will even set a new record in this regard. The black borders around the display of the new flagship should only measure 1.55 mm, significantly less than the 2.17 mm of the current Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. The current record is held by the Xiaomi 13 with a thickness of 1.81 mm. For comparison, the bezels on the Samsung Galaxy 22 and Galaxy S23 are approximately 1.95mm wide.

The glass panels of the iPhone 15 series were already shown in pictures a few weeks ago. The person handling the panels reported that the frames on the Pro models are thinner than those on the base variants. Of course, this is a relative indication, since the entry-level models may also have narrower edges.

According to the previous leaks, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is not alone. CAD renderings have already shown thinner bezels on the smaller iPhone 15 Pro as well. The two Apple phones will continue to use the so-called Dynamic Island design with a centered, pill-shaped punch hole.

In addition, similar images also showed the transition to the Dynamic Island design for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. ProMotion, as Apple calls 120 Hz displays, is reserved for the iPhone 15 Pro models. The basic models still have 60 Hz displays. On the other hand, one big change affects all iPhone 15 models – Apple will be forced to switch to the USB-C connector.
