Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max: 256GB to 2TB of storage

According to a new tip, Apple will increase the base storage and maximum storage of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple iPhone 15 series

The week before last, a leak on the prices of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max revealed that Apple’s upcoming flagships are expected to cost $100 more than the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. However, this may not be a direct price increase. Because according to a tip today, Apple will also increase the storage capacity of the Pro models at the same time.

The Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of storage. According to a tip from Weibo user Red Lotus Technology, the iPhone 15 Pro models will start at 256GB instead. The new end of the road will be a whopping 2 TB of storage. Shortly thereafter, the Korean blogger yeux1122 also confirmed the new maximum of 2 TB, but not the increase in the base storage to 256 GB.

Apple currently charges $1,000 for a 128GB iPhone 14 Pro, while the 256GB version costs $1,100. So if the two rumors above are true, a 256GB Apple iPhone 15 Pro will cost the same as a 256GB iPhone 14 Pro. So as long as you don’t mourn the 128 GB version, that’s good news.

There were similar interplays in 2020. At that time, the cheapest iPhone cost the same as the cheapest iPhone from the previous year – $700 each. In 2020, however, the Apple iPhone 12 mini was added. The larger iPhone 12, on the other hand, went up $100.

It will be interesting to see how this price increase will affect demand for the iPhone 15. Supposedly interest will be less than the iPhone 14, so Apple may be cautious. On the one hand, it is only speculation so far. On the other hand, as usual, prices in the various regions of the world will rise at different rates.
